PROJECT SUMMARY

Kinglsey House is an organization in New Orleans dedicated to educating children, strengthening families, and building community. They are looking to convert office spaces into a functional parent/guardian center. The multifunctional space should be an environment parents feel comfortable to come and go as they please, but also have a space for health check-ups, job interviews, and informational presentations. Children are not the primary user but should have space to occupy themselves as their guardian takes advantage of the resources and amenities provided.
CONCEPT STATEMENT

Alone, a tree can grow tall. In forests, trees thrive; their roots are large and intertwined allowing each to feed off of each other's strengths and overpower weaknesses. This space will be the fertile soil to support the community as it grows into a mighty forest. By planting firm roots of socialization, health, and education into this space, the participants will learn and grow together.
